Dr. N. S. Bhat

Dr. N. S. Bhat is a retired Professor and former Head of the Department of Apiculture at the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bengaluru. He has made significant contributions to the field of apiculture through his extensive research and academic work. Notably, he served as the Consortium Principal Investigator for the project “A Value Chain on Wild Honey Bee” under the National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) until October 2013. Post-retirement, Dr. Bhat continues to share his expertise by delivering lectures on topics such as the importance of beekeeping and honeybee behavior, as well as mentoring honeybee enthusiasts.
